Thank you for being here and wanting to learn more about the heart behind wildwellandwhole.

My Journey

Growing up, nature was simply part of daily life in our family. We spent time exploring the mountains and forests that were our backyard and enjoying my mom’s prolific gardens, where something was always growing. These everyday moments with nature gave me a sense of steadiness and belonging.

I didn’t know it then, but these simple connections would become a quiet thread throughout my life—helping me heal from trauma, supporting me through illness, and grounding me during times of radical change. They continue to shape the way I care for others today.

My work blends these lived experiences with professional practice to support others in finding wholeness and connection. I became a nurse in my 50s after surviving cancer and rebuilding my life, entering the field under an emergency license as the pandemic began. Over the past five years, I have worked in hospital settings, including med-surg and both adult and adolescent psychiatric care units, as well as in community nursing, caring for individuals and families during some of their most challenging moments. I currently work in adolescent psychiatric care, where these experiences continue to guide my commitment to proactive, whole-person care.

Caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while honoring each individual’s story and strengths is at the heart of what I do. I incorporate nature and mindfulness into the spaces I share with others, creating opportunities for rest and reflection. Whether guiding with nature or sharing these practices indoors, my aim is to nurture resilience and moments of renewal in a world that often demands too much and offers too little time to heal.

What I offer

Through wildwellandwhole, I offer nature-based wellness care, including forest therapy, indoor guided nature-based mindfulness sessions, and nurse coaching. My work integrates trauma-informed care and gentle practices that help reconnection with self, community, and the natural world.

When I’m not working

You can often find me outside with nature and adventuring with family and friends—hiking forest paths, skiing quiet local trails, kayaking calm waters, or photographing moments of beauty and wonder along the way. I also love to spend time in the kitchen cooking simple, nourishing meals with whole foods. I cherish my down time in my small cabin reading, writing or sometimes doing nothing at all, simply sitting with my cats, Sunshine and Marshmallow, letting these small moments of stillness remind me to slow down and return to what matters.

An invitation

I invite you to join me on this journey toward restoration, resilience, and reconnection—one breath, one step, one walk in the woods at a time. I look forward to serving you.

With appreciation,

Beth
